An assortment of common roadside litter items, including a crumpled aluminum soda can, an empty transparent plastic bottle, a flattened cardboard coffee cup, and a weathered fast-food wrapper, carefully arranged on a clean white board placed on short, damp grass. Tiny droplets of moisture cling to the objects, highlighting their textures and faded colors. The background falls into soft green bokeh of a Vancouver, Washington roadside verge. Natural, diffused daylight from an overcast sky softly illuminates the scene, creating a neutral, documentary feel. Photographic realism with a slightly elevated, close-up angle captures fine details like creases, dirt, and water stains. The mood is serious and informative, ideal for a nonprofit educational section about litter types and environmental impact.

A panoramic, photographic view of a Vancouver, Washington riverside trail immediately after a thorough litter cleanup. The paved path appears freshly swept, bordered by low native shrubs and tall grasses, all free of debris. In the foreground, a dark green trash receptacle and separate blue recycling bin stand side by side, both closed and clearly labeled, their surfaces clean and well-maintained. The Columbia River glimmers softly in the middle distance under a pale, overcast sky, with muted hills beyond. Soft, even natural light eliminates harsh shadows, creating a calm, professional atmosphere. Shot from a slightly elevated angle with sharp focus throughout, the composition emphasizes the length of the pristine trail, symbolizing collective success and long-term stewardship.

Our Organizers

An overhead, photographic view of a neatly labeled Vancouver, Washington cleanup station set up under a simple pop-up canopy in a park. A long folding table holds clearly separated zones: stacked reusable buckets, color-coded trash and recycling bags, clipboards with printed route maps, and a small first-aid kit in a bright red case. On the ground beside the table, bundles of litter grabbers and extra gloves are aligned in straight rows. The grass beneath is short and freshly mowed, free of debris. Soft, evenly diffused daylight from an overcast sky minimizes shadows, allowing every item to be clearly visible. The composition is symmetrical and orderly, conveying professionalism, safety, and thoughtful organization for volunteers, even though no people are present.

A dramatic, photographic before-and-after style scene of a Vancouver, Washington roadside ditch represented in a single frame. The left half of the ditch is cluttered with realistic litter: plastic bottles, a torn cardboard box, fast-food packaging, and a faded plastic bag tangled in dry grass. The right half is meticulously clean, revealing healthy green grass, small wildflowers, and a clearly visible storm drain grate free of debris. Subtle visual division is created by a low, neutral concrete marker at center. Soft, overcast light provides balanced, even illumination across both sides. Captured at eye level with moderate depth of field, the composition feels objective yet impactful, emphasizing the tangible difference litter cleanup makes for stormwater systems and local ecosystems.

A freestanding, clean metal signpost supports two rectangular panels: one clearly labeled for landfill waste with a gray background and simple iconography, the other emphasizing recycling in blue with recognizable bottle and paper symbols. Below the signs, matching dark green trash and blue recycling bins stand on a clean concrete pad, completely free of overflowing waste. Soft, diffused daylight from an overcast sky highlights the sign’s legible typography and reflective surface.
